KENNETH DEWAYNE RYE
1960 - 1997
Shawnee resident Kenneth Dewayne Rye died Saturday in Shawnee at the age of 37.He was born June 21, 1960, in Amarillo, Texas, to Kenneth M. and Priscilla Reed Rye.He attended New Caney High School in New Caney, Texas.He married Anita B. Rye.He was a welder and had been in the U.S. Army.He lived in Texas for many years and moved to Shawnee in 1993.Rye was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston, Texas.Survivors include his wife, Anita B. Rye of Shawnee; a son, Dana Mathew Rye; a daughter, Holly Christine Rye, both of Nacogdoches, Texas; his father, Kenneth M. Rye of Shawnee; his mother, Priscilla Bartee of Granbury, Texas; a brother, David E. Rye of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Kathlene Gaddis of Cushing, Texas and Cynthia Strevel of Granbury, Texas; four nephews and two nieces.A private service was held Tuesday, and burial was at Hopewell Cemetery.Published September 3, 1997.
