Audrey E. Freeman Roland, 81, of Tecumseh, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, in Tecumseh.She was born May 13, 1931, to Albert and Margaret Ann Ritchie Freeman in Romulus.Audrey was raised and attended school in the Romulus community and was a lifelong resident of Pottawatomie County.She married Artivee Dwain Roland on September 23, 1947, in Macomb and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2003.Audrey spent her life as a fulltime homemaker taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed sewing, baking, especially, her Pineapple Upside Down Cake, shopping, going to garage sales and spending time with family and friends. Audrey loved chocolate, black walnut ice cream and drinking Coca-Cola.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Artivee Dwain Roland; grandson, Mikel Roland; greatgrandson, Devon Carter; and daughter, Audrey Jolene Carter.Audrey is survived by three sons and two daughters in-law, Floyd and Jacque Roland, of Shawnee; Richard Roland, of Tecumseh; and Steve and Norma Roland, of Tecumseh; son-in-law, Truman Carter, of Shawnee; sister, Yvonne and Ray York, of Oklahoma City; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.Visitation will be 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, and continue through service time.Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 14, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Sutton, New Life Church of God, officiating.Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
