OTHO B. MORRIS
1913 - 1998
Otho B. Morris, 85, Shawnee, died Tuesday in a local hospital.He was born October 4, 1913, in Yeager to Bayard S. and Sunset Smith Morris.He grew up in the Wetumka area.He served in the U. S. military during World War II and moved to Shawnee when he returned.He was a farmer and cattle rancher and a member of the Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars.He is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Barbara and Lewis Pettyjohn of Shawnee, Helen and Ray Vickrey of Stroud and Irene Dawson of Junter, Texas, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Howard and Judy Morris of California and Ted R. Morris of Oklahoma City, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery, with Robert and Jim Pettyjohn officiating.Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
