Joseph C. Miller of Shawnee died Friday in a local hospital. He was 84.He was born February 26, 1913, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph and Stella Rawski Manikowski.He was a machine maintenance tool operator for Press Steel Tank Company in Milwaukee and had lived in Shawnee for the past ninety days. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Gordon Gutowski, Shawnee; son, Tommy Miller, Frankston, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher, Phyllis, Marcia, Jodie, Lori, Chuck, Michelle, Lisa, Tim and Jim; sister-in-law, Sophie Manikowski, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Patricia Miller, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; one son, Joseph Jr.; four brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.A wake service was Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. today at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Massoth, O.S.B., celebrant.Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
