FRANCES MESHQUEKENNOCK
1924 - 2013
Frances Stevens Meshquekennock, 88, of Shawnee, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at her residence.She was born December 7, 1924, in Shawnee, the daughter of Sweeney and Etta Shaw Stevens.She graduated from Dale High School.She married Ralph Meshquekennock in 1976.She worked at the Sylvania Plant and South Central Sheltered Workshop.She was a member of Nagawee Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Benny Stevens, a brother, Edison Murdock and a niece, Delores "Bookie" Wallace.Survivors include two daughters, Gail Harjo and husband, Bruce of the home, and Cena Little and husband, Osceola of Seminole; six grandchildren, Daniel Red Thunder Wind, Jesse DeRoin Kent, Isaiah Anthony Harjo, Sarah Lynn Harjo, Osceola Little Jr. and Mitchell Little; eleven great grandchildren and sister, Evelyn Haney.Tribal Rites will be Wednesday evening at the Carol Patterson home.Burial will be Thursday morning at Wakolee Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Morris, Jr. officiating.Published August 29, 2013.
