GLENNA PEARL MEADE
1917 - 2001
Shawnee resident Glenna Pearl Powell Meade died Monday in a local hospital at the age of 83.She was born October 31, 1917, in Canute, Oklahoma to Charlie and Probey Brooks Bonny Powell.She attended school in Clinton and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.Mrs. Meade was preceded in death by her husband,William Everett Meade; four sisters; two brothers; stepson; daughter-in-law; and one great-granddaughter.Survivors include a stepson and his wife, Irl J. and Nadeen Meade of Wewoka; seven grandchildren and spouses, Teresa Campbell and Jackie Smith of Shawnee; Alisa and Dean Krakel of Conifer, Colorado; Frank and Debbie Meade, Perry; Ralph and Janie Meade of Deer Creek, Oklahoma; Jay I. and Glennda Meade of Shawnee; and Kenny Meade and Michell Peard of Tecumseh; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three nieces.A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. today at Neal Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Ashworth officiating.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.Published September 5, 2001.
