BETTY JANETTE McDONALD
1942 - 2007
Shawnee resident Betty Janette "BJ" McDonald passed peacefully at home 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, at the age of 65 after two years of battling breast cancer.She was born March 11, 1942, to Edna Lee Buttrill and Raymond Buttrill in Atoka.BJ lived a full and happy life. Her sweet spirit will be missed.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Shanda McDonald of Shawnee; granddaughters, Garrette and Jenna McDonald of Shawnee; sister, Marie Weehunt of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Margie Buttrill of Oklahoma City; niece and husband, Victoria and Howard Dickman of Chandler; grandnieces; Holly, Brandy, and Christy and their families.The Family of Ms. McDonald wishes to thank family friend, Bonnie Bell and Liberty Baptist Church for their prayers. Many thanks also go to the beautiful ladies of Loving Care Home Health/Hospice for their encouragement and support.BJ wished for cremation and a small gathering for relatives and close friends will be held in her remembrance at the family home Sunday, June 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
