1933 - 2016


Jane E. Tucker Marrs LaCroix, 83, lifelong resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home.
She was born on October 22, 1933 to John C. and Irene Brock Tucker in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Jane was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools.
She married her best friend and soul mate, George Marrs on January 1, 1981 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1991. She later married Joseph LaCroix and he preceded her in death.
Jane worked for local lumber yards as a building contractor and retired from White’s Ace Lumber Company in Shawnee.
She loved antiquing. Jane enjoyed picking up pecans, growing blackberries and strawberries and loved crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Marrs and Joseph LaCroix; son, Sammy Thompson; her parents, John and Irene Tucker and one sister, Claudine Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tommie and and very special son-in-law, Max Smith of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, daughter, Angie Ragsdale of Moore, Oklahoma and daughter, Karen and Paul Egesdal of Edmond, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Derek Smith, Jayna Smith, Tucker Smith, Hannah Smith, Rachel and Todd Neeley, Taylor Young, Kyle Young, Laura Egesdal and Elizabeth Egesdal; and expecting her first great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Brooks of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Sharon Kay and Jim Myers of Tulsa, Oklahoma and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 and continue through service time. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Chambers officiating.
Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
