ADA LEE JONES
1900 - 1997


Denison resident Ada Lee Norris Jones died Thursday in a Texoma hospital. She was 97.
Mrs. Jones was born July 7, 1900, at Mangum in Indian Territory, the daughter of George and Lila Curtis Norris.
She attended schools at Mangum.
Mrs. Jones, the oldest active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Denison, served as the noble grand of the Wewoka Rebekah Lodge in 1935.
On April 25, 1916, she married H. B. Jones in Chandler.
She served in various offices in the Wewoka Eastern Star and was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her daughter, Vike Swart of Denison, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Goodwin and the Rev. Keith Boone officiating.
Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Fairview Cemetery, Shawnee, under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 E. U.S. Hwy. 69, Denison, Texas.
