Tecumseh resident Charlotte Bowers Janway, 81, died Saturday, July 1, in Tecumseh.She was born November 16, 1924 in Pottawatomie County to Lon D. and Lena Agnes Parsons Bowers.She was reared in Romulus and had also lived in Prague. She resided in the Tecumseh and Shawnee areas most of her life. She attended school in Romulus and Tecumseh.Charlotte was a homemaker. She also worked at Sylvania for many years and later owned and operated a cafe, convenience store and gas station in the Tecumseh area.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Crosslin; a son, Jim Keys; her parents; and two brothers, Lon Bowers Jr. and Gene Bowers.Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Connie Keys of Shawnee; and Walter and Tammy Janway; two sisters, Jerrie Brown of Arizona; and Louise Pine of Eufaula; a brother, Glen Bowers of Ponca City; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. today at Tecumseh Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Chesser of Faith Hospice officiating.Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Keys Jr., James Elmer Keys, Wayne Keys and Zachary Janway.
