JIMMY HENDERSON
1930 - 2012


Jimmy "Jim" Henderson, 82, of Shawnee, died Sunday, September 2, 2012, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1930, in Terrel to Ira and Artie Boyles Henderson.
He attended school in Terrel.
He married Ella Alexander on August 1, 1950 in Waurika.
He was with the U.S. Army.
He owned and operated an upholstering business for many years and later sold horses and horse trailers and was a volunteer fireman for Meeker.
He had lived in the Meeker and Shawnee area since 1963.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Henderson of the home; two sons, Larry Henderson of Shawnee; and Don and wife, Kay Henderson, of Shawnee; two daughters, Vickie and husband, Gary Dixon, of Maud; and Michelle Henderson of Shawnee; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Weatherly of Shawnee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Marty Brock officiating.
His casket will remain open until service time and will not be opened after the services.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
