1959 - 2016
Bruce Hayden, 56, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016, in Oklahoma City.He was born November 14, 1959 to Glenn Deane and Shirley Mae Rimer Hayden in Shawnee.Bruce was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools. He graduated with the class of 1977 from Shawnee High School. He lived in Shawnee until moving to Oklahoma City where he has resided for the last seven years.Bruce proudly served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Infantry Division.He was a CNC Machinist for Aero Components in Oklahoma City.Bruce loved his pet wolf, Bo. He enjoyed going camping, fishing, hunting and classic rock music. Bruce loved going to concerts with his son, Dillon, who was the focal point of his life.He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn “Doc” Hayden.Bruce is survived by his son, Dillon Hayden of Oklahoma City, mother, Shirley Hayden of Shawnee, three sisters, Pam and Mike O’Neal of Shawnee, Glenita Hayden of Killeen, Texas and Lana Westrope of Oklahoma City, nieces and nephews, Chris and Michelle Stone of El Paso, Texas, Brian Barnett of Oklahoma City, Autumn and Kyle Winrow of Shawnee and Tiffany and Ryan Kinsey of Norman and other extended family and friends.Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Novenber 14, with family gathering from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home.Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.To share memories, or to sign the guest book online, go to www.cooperfuneral.com.
