MATTIE HARGUS
1917 - 2011


Shawnee resident Mattie Deel Hargus died Sunday at a local hospital at the age of 79.
She was born September 21, 1917, in Shawnee, to Robert Samuel and Nora McInturff Deel.
She attended schools in Doherty.
She married John T. Hargus in 1938.
Mrs. Hargus was a nurses' aide. She lived in Oklahoma all her life, near Davis.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Deel of Ada and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Crystal Johnson, Lenora Robison and Peggy Deel and one brother, Bill Deel.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. today at Romulus Cemetery with Sam Hendry officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
