SAMUEL ALLEN GRIMES
1925 - 2000


Samuel Allen "Buddy" Grimes died Saturday, December 23 in Midwest City. He was 75.
Born on May 26, 1925, in Eatonton, Georgia, he was the son of Lee and Julia Bell Louis Grimes. He had resided in Tecumseh since 1988 and was a woodcrafter. He retired in the mid 1980s.
He had previously worked for Packard-Bell's Los Angeles location.
Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, Lee J. Grimes Jr., Joseph Grimes, James Edward Grimes and Theodore Roosevelt Grimes, and one sister, Lucille Grimes.
Survivors include three brothers, Wingfield Grimes of Oklahoma City; Waymon Grimes of Dallas, Texas; and Marcus Grimes of Tecumseh; five sisters, Sara Lou Martin of Atlanta, Georgia; Equilla White of Los Angeles, California; Eva Grimes of Los Angeles, California; Mary Agnes Anthony of Norman; and Loveler Grimes Williams of Tecumseh; and a number of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Wilmer Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery.
