1931 - 1997
James Allen Graham of Midwest City died Thursday in Midwest City at the age of 66.He was born January 28, 1931, in Oxford, Arkansas to Jim and Mandy Graham. He was reared in Oxford, and was a 1949 graduate of Oxford High School.He married Dean Hill on December 31, 1949, in Melbourne, Arkansas.Mr. Graham lived in Omaha, Nebraska, Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas before moving to Midwest City in 1977. He was assistant manager of Sutherland Lumber Company in Wichita, Kansas, manager of Sutherland Carpet Corral in Midwest City and property manager of Heritage Park Rentals.Survivors include his wife, Dean Graham of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa A. and Michael Likens of Shawnee and Myrlene E. and Tony Peterson of Wichita, two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie D. and Debbie Graham of Atlanta, Kansas and and Darryl J. and Dena Graham of Wichita, Kansas, a sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Earl Baird of Westerville, Ohio, a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Fern Graham of Heber Springs, Arkansas, a sister-in-law, Virena Graham of Omaha, Nebraska, twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Otis Graham and an infant sister.Memorials may be made to the Aydelotte Baptist Church Building Fund.The family will greet friends at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. tonight.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Aydelotte Baptist Church, Shawnee, with the Rev. Brad Reimers officiating.Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.Published September 20, 1997.
