Joshua Alan Floyd, 27, of Shawnee, died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his residence.He was born January 26, 1984, in Shawnee to Bruce Floyd and Angela "Angie" Beene Emmons.He graduated from Prattville High School in Prattville, Alabama.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending OU football games and playing basketball.He was an electrical commissioning technician.He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gilbert M. Crook.Survived by his father, Bruce Floyd and wife, Billie, of Ada; his mother, Angie Emmons, of Shawnee; four sisters, Danielle Morris, of Shawnee; Kimberly, Lauren, and Caitlin Samples, of Ada; two nephews, Braxton and Sean Morris, of Shawnee; paternal grandmother, Dorothy J. Crook, of Maud; maternal grandparents, Jerry Beene and wife, Charlotte, of Shawnee; and Myrna Dodson, of Shawnee; and his girlfriend, Tracy Flippo of Shawnee.Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2011, at Liberty Baptist Church.Burial will be at Alexander Family Cemetery, off of Anderson Road, southwest of Romulus.Walker Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.Published May 29, 2011.
