NANCY KAY FAIRLESS
1955 - 2001
Former Shawnee resident Nancy Kay Fairless died Saturday at the age of 46.She was born July 3, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska to David and Judith Fairless.She graduated from Shawnee High School and received her master's degree in special education from Central State University in Edmond. She taught school for twenty three years.She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Rick Fairless; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton O. Pruette; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Crawford.Survivors include her mother; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tim Lodes; a nephew, Kyle O'Donley; two nieces, Megan and Emily Lodes of Oklahoma City; and two aunts, Very Grimes and Patty Lillard of Shawnee; and other family and friends.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Eugene Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Guardian Northside Funeral Home of Oklahoma City.Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, American Cancer Society or St. Eugene Building Fund.
