SAM EDGEMAN
1918 - 1998
Tecumseh resident Sam Edgeman died Saturday in Shawnee. He was 80.Mr. Edgeman was born August 8, 1918, in Seminole County to Abner and Mamie Sexton Edgeman.He married Anna Louise Hogue on May 19, 1950, in Tecumseh.Mr. Edgeman worked in maintenance at the Oklahoma Memorial Student Union at the University of Oklahoma and retired in 1991. He also raised Hereford cattle.He was a member of Pink Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Anna L. Edgeman, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Harlena and Alan Mays, Freeport, Texas; Darlena and Joe Moore, Tecumseh; Dianna and Mark Seaton, Tecumseh; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sisters, Frances Hogue, Tecumseh; and Mandy Lovell, Collinsville.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, seven half-brothers and five half-sisters.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh, with Rev. Robert Rider officiating.Burial will be in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.Published August 18, 1998.
