DON EALEY
1935 - 2016


After a long battle with cancer, Don Ealey, age 81, of Shawnee, passed away October 24, 2016.
Don was born in Hennepin, Oklahoma, to Elmer Charles and Leona Marie Ealey.
He lived in Hennepin, Fittstown, Meeker and Prague and graduated from Tecumseh High School.
He served in the Army Security Agency until 1957.
His first career was for a material handling company and later as a repairman for Pratt Foods.
Don married Betty Dunavan Simon.
In 1986 Don married Mary Lee Casey.
Don is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Casey Frichot Ealey, his parents, sisters, Lavena Corinne Morris and Jannie Vea Hall and nephew James Charles "Chuck" Abernathy.
He is survived by children, Michael {Deborah} Ealey, Mitchell Ealey, Bert {Kim} Frichot IV and Marie {John} Gossling, grandchildren Garek Ealey, Bradon Ealey, Lacey Ealey, Merrick Frichot, Travis Frichot, Brooke Frichot, Grace {Chris} Phelon, Julie {John} Hausen, Jill {Justin} Weaver, Sarah {Joseph} Nguyen, Kate Gossling, and Claire Gossling, one great-grandson Logan Phelon, niece, Johnece Abernathy and her son Andrew Jones, niece, Patti Hall and nephew Keith Hall.
Family and friends loved him and will miss his steady, guiding influence and wisdom.
Funeral services will be at Emanuel Episcopal Church, 501 N Broadway Ave, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801 on December 3 at 4:00 p.m.
