ROSALIE L. DICKINSON
1915 - 1999


Longtime Shawnee resident Rosalie L. Scheidt Dickinson died Sunday at her home. She was 84.
Mrs. Dickinson was born on July 17, 1915, in McLoud to John Joseph and Anna J. Ebers Scheidt.
She married Elmer Dickinson on August 1, 1944, in Shawnee.
Mrs. Dickinson was a homemaker and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, St. Gregory's Oblates, St. Benedict Golden Hearts and a past president of St. Benedict Altar Society and the FFA Mothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dickinson; her parents, John and Anna Scheidt; a brother, George Scheidt; a son, John Patrick Dickinson; and two grandchildren, Danny Dickinson and John Patrick Dickinson Jr.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael and Laury Dickinson, Meeker; Timmy Dickinson and JoAnn Bryan, Shawnee; Carl and Andrea Dickinson, Baltimore, Maryland; and Mark and Rhonda Dickinson, Shawnee; a daughter, Ann Dickinson, Shawnee; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Dickinson, Mount Vernon, Maryland; ten grandchildren, Christina Barry, Jay Dickinson, Andrew Dickinson, Jason Dickinson, Kevin Dickinson all of Shawnee; Stacy Root of Denver, Colorado; Erik Dickinson of San Antonio, Texas; Jimmy Dickinson and Lance Dickinson both of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; and Wesley Dickinson of Oklahoma City; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Shawnee, St. Benedict Altar Society or St. Gregory's University.
A prayer vigil will be 7:00 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating.
Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
