Richard Dell Davis, 59, of Shawnee passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.He was born May 21, 1957 to Loyd Dell, Sr. and Betty Horne Davis in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Richard was a lifelong resident of Shawnee.He loved listening to music, singing and wearing his sunglasses. Richard loved visiting with people he never met a stranger. Music was the focal point of his life, especially Hank Williams, Jr.He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Nellie Davis; mother, Betty Horne Wright; sister, Barbara Hazelwood; brother, Kenny Wright; grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Davis and Theodore and Mildred Piper; three brothers-in-law, Roy Hasbell, Curtis MacAlister and Terry DeMoss and two nephews.Richard is survived by his four sisters, Diana MacAlister of Shawnee, Dorothy Hasbell of Pink, Linda and Richard Butler of Okemah and Della DeMoss and partner Evelyn Fillier of Roddickton Newfoundland, Canada; two brothers, Loyd D. Davis of Shawnee and John H. Davis of Shawnee; numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016 and from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2016 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with his brother, John H. Davis officiating.Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
