BETTY CLAUDINE DAVIS
1929 - 2016


Betty Claudine Tucker Davis, age 86, of Earlsboro, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her home.
Known by Claudine to friends and family, she was born May 8, 1929 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to John C. and Irene Brock Tucker.
Claudine was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Schools. Living in the Tecumseh area most of her life, Claudine had also lived in California, Missouri and Colorado. She has resided in Earlsboro since 1997.
She married Jack Davis in August 1988.
She worked at the Sylvania Plant and was also a Housemother for Central Oklahoma Juvenile Treatment Center. She also enjoyed her time as a Campfire Sponsor.
Claudine was a member of The Rebekah Lodge.
She loved fishing, sewing, cooking and gardening. She was known for the applique and patterns she applied to denim and sweatshirts and even better known for the dresses she made. Claudine especially loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny McMahan; her parents and her son-in-law, Allen Trammell.
Claudine is survived by her husband, Jack Davis of the home; daughter, Jerri Trammell of Maud; daughter-in-law, Pat McMahan of Tecumseh; grandchildren, John and Windi McMahan, Monica Lam, Chris Lam, and Michael and Lark Trammell; great-grandchildren, Mary McMahan, Matthew and Alexis McMahan and Harley McMahan; one great-great grandchild, Skylar McMahan; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Brooks of Shawnee, Janie LaCroix of Tecumseh and Sharon Kay and Jim Myers of Tulsa; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 10, 2016, with the family gathering to meet with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, and continue through service time.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins of Sharon Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
