VIVIAN ANN CARTER
1945 - 2011


Vivian Ann McConnell Carter, 66, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at OU Medical Center.
She was born March 14, 1945, in Wewoka to Earl and Thelma McConnell.
She graduated from Wewoka High School in 1963 and then went to work for Shell Oil in 1966.
She married James "Jim" Carter on April 17, 1964, in Wewoka. They were married for 47 years. They had one son, James Kevin Carter, on September 30, 1967.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Thelma McConnell and sisters, Modene Upton of Wewoka and Betty Holder of Maud.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Jim Carter of the home; son, James {Tiffany} Carter of Shawnee; brothers, Marvin {Bonnie} McConnell of Lawton; Bobby {Sheila} McConnell of Maud; Billy {Karen} McConnell of Seminole; sisters, Joyce {Jim} Ballard of Paris, Texas; Norma {Larry} Taylor of Marlow; Helen {Mike} Hearrell of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; JoAnn {George} Richards of Seminole; grandchildren, Jaxon Carter and Madyson Carter of Shawnee; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing service will be May 17, 2011, at Cooper Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Romulus Baptist Church, Macomb.
