EDWIN D. CARR
1935 - 2012


Edwin D. Carr, 77, passed away March 23, 2012 at his home.
Edwin was born February 2, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to Earl and Elsie Turner Carr.
He graduated from Wichita North High School and attended Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California.
He served with the U. S. Air Force where he was a cryptographer. He later worked as a computer operator for Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as well as for the Social Security Administration from which he retired.
On December 27, 1982 he married Jeanne Whitesell.
He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and the Masonic Lodge, was an avid golfer and enjoyed family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and his first wife, Leola D. Carr in 1981.
Survived by his wife, Jeanne L. Carr of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Sharon Louise Carr of Derby, Kansas, two step-sons, Richard Duncan of Topeka, Kansas and Dale Duncan of Shawnee.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Rev. Don Wolf officiating.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
