MILLIE ANN BURNS
1955 - 2010
Millie Ann Smith Burns, 78, of Tecumseh, died December 4, 2010, in Tecumseh.
She graduated from Purcell High School. She married John Burns in White Salmon, Washington, May 14, 1955.
She was born April 10, 1932, to Dudley and Nora Bell Smith and was raised in Tribbey. She was a homemaker and cared for her family deeply. She loved to crochet, read and listen to southern gospel music.
Millie was an expert at cooking pastry and her day was not complete without a Sonic Route 44 coke.
She was a member of Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God and was loved by all.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, John Burns; four sisters; and two brothers.
Millie was suvived by her daughter, Shirley Bracken of Orange, California; two sons, Ray Burns and William Burns, both of Tecumseh; two brothers, Sam Smith, of Prague; and Gene Smith of Maine; three granddaughters; one grandson; two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter on the way.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Fred Owens officiating.
Burial will be at Old Moral Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
