1940 - 2006
Lifelong Shawnee and Bethel resident Sue Batt, 65, died Tuesday, July 25, in Oklahoma City.She was born September 1, 1940, in Shamrock, Oklahoma.She was married in October 1967, in Decatur, Texas, to Leroy Batt.Sue was a homemaker. She also was a member of Northeast Free Will Baptist Church.She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and loved the outdoors.She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Spangler.Survivors include her husband, Leroy Batt of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and J. R. Campbell of Bethel; Cindy and Steve Givens of Stillwater; Karen and Tommy Ward of Pink; sons and daughter-in-law, Carl Cole of Amarillo, Texas; Roy and Trina Batt of Bethel; nine grandchildren, Rick Campbell, Angie Young, Amber, Zachery, Tasha, Brittany, Tiffany & Cassie Batt, and Lindsey Ward; one great-grandson, Colton Campbell; one sister, Judy Anderson of Texas; brothers, Jerry Leyerly of McLoud; Dan Likens of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Harold Spangler of Yukon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McCauley officiating.Burial will be at Blackburn Cemetery.
