JOSHUA DeWAYNE ALEXANDER
1983 - 2013


Joshua DeWayne Alexander, age 30 of Dibble, passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 4, 2013 in Oklahoma City.
He was born on March 9, 1983 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Michael Alexander Sr. and Clara Marie Newman.
Josh grew up in the Shawnee and Oklahoma City area before moving to Dibble during his high school years. While in high school he played football and competed in weight lifting. After graduating in 2002 he went to work in the oil field and worked there several years before he became injured.
Throughout his life, Josh had various hobbies and had lots of friends. Some of his favorite things to do were watching CSI and championship wrestling on TV and operating his remote controlled devices. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn and Del Goss, Herbert and Gladys Alexander, Bill Newman and Josephine Rogers.
He is survived by his mother and step-father: Clara and Robert Rogers of Dibble; father and step-mother: Michael Sr. and Teresa Alexander of Shawnee; step-mother Sheila Spurlin of Shawnee; girlfriend Cecilia Bortz of Moore; brothers Michael Alexander Jr. and Tina Hoover of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Robert Brown of Searcey, Arkansas; sisters Mindy Newman-Hamilton and husband William of Oklahoma City; Bailey Alexander and Levi Longacre of Dibble; Christian Alexander of Maud, Oklahoma; step-brothers Tyler Gensman and Robert Troxell of Shawnee; step-sisters Patricia Gensman of Shawnee; Michelle Watson and husband Chris of Maud; his best friends Jason and Shannon Sparks of Dibble; Derrick Eddy of Moore; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Dibble Free Will Baptist Church.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
