Doris Arms, 74, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Monday, November 13, 2017 at her home.
She was born March 12, 1943 to F.M. and Betty L. (Annanders) Cathey in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Doris was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. She lived on the farm near Tecumseh for the past 50 years.
She married Donald L. Arms on August 20, 1958 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1996.
Doris worked at Pratts Grocery, Granny Stephens for many years and One Stop Country Store in Macomb and Thunder Stop in Shawnee.
She was a member of Tecumseh First Assembly of God for many years. Doris touched many lives and was loved by all those who met her. She loved laughter and entertaining family and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Arms; her father, F.M. Cathey; and 2 great-grandsons, Jacob and Levi White
Those left to cherish her memories are 5 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Betty and Rickie White of Macomb, OK, Sheila Arms of McLoud, OK, Kathy Langley of Tecumseh, OK, LaDonna and Thai Pham of Tecumseh, OK and Diannah and Greg Levell of Broken Arrow, OK; her mother, Betty L. Cathey of Tecumseh, OK; 13 grandchildren, Chad White, Emily White, Reba White, Katie White, Clay Levell, Daymon Levell, Cedric Levell, Maleah Levell, Jared Langley, Lacy Kent, Cheri Pham, Thomas Pham and Jun Pham; 15 great-grandchildren; and adopted daughter, Jennie Shoemaker; and many loving friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Tecumseh First Assembly of God with Pastor Don Jonker, officiating. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Macomb under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
