On December 6, 2022, Glenda Joan States passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Glenda was born, Glenda Joan Terrell on July 11, 1935. She was the daughter of Doc and Gussie Terrell. Glenda was a lifelong Prague resident and was well-loved in her small town. Glenda's life was dedicated to her family. She married Robert Wayne States on October 31, 1953, and they had four children. Glenda enjoyed playing the piano and loved cooking for her family, friends and neighbors. Glenda had a place for anyone and everyone at her table. Glenda and Bobby were lifelong farmers. She worked tirelessly alongside Bobby. She would always provide support and love for her family. She would proudly boast about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being their "Meme" was one of her greatest joys. Glenda was a longtime member of Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bobby; her daughter, Renae; her granddaughter, Marcey and her brother, Buster.
She is survived by her three children, daughter, Tammy and Shelli; son, Reggie and Julana and son, Marty; grandchildren, Bryan, Kyle and Amy, Cody, Morgan and Colton; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jonah, Bryson, Lily, Luke, Emilia and Ellie; great great-grandchildren, Sundai, Eli and Disney; sister, Donna and Harold and sister, Erlene. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Glenda's honor to the Garden Grove Cemetery fund.
Glenda's family would also like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Aspen Health and Rehab for the loving care they gave Mom.
