Bernice Young, 66, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Shawnee.
She was born August 19, 1955 to Bill and Elsie (Jackson) Moreland in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Bernice was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools.
She married Tracy Young on November 14, 1986 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Bernice was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and family.
She like to read her Bible, listen to Christian music and television. She was a member of Free Indeed Church for several years. Bernice loved her grandchildren and loved to babysit her grandkids and help out.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Lovette; her father, Bill Moreland; her mother, Elsie Moreland Kirkendall; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Tracy Young of the home; 1 daughter, Sheila Krueger; 2 sons, Jessie and Nicole Lovette and Michael and Kristen Young; 3 step-daughters, Jennifer Brown, Robin Shatto and Cindy McDaniels; Zoe Lovette, Ava Lovette, Leslie Lovette, April Lovette, Weston Young and Madison Young; and other numerous grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Free Indeed Church, 1114 East Chandler, Shawnee, OK with Pastor Guy Cagle, Free Indeed Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
