Douglas "Doug" Westerman, 62, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 in Shawnee.
He was born April 29, 1957 to Robert "Bob" and Dolly (Carrigan) Frazier in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Douglas was raised in Shawnee and graduated with the class of 1975 from Shawnee High School. He was a lifelong resident of the Shawnee and Tecumseh areas.
He worked at Shawnee Printing as a printer for many years and at Tinker Air Force Base.
Doug loved football, cookout, going to the lake, Sunday dinners with his family and birthday celebrations. He liked cooking and hosting the 4th of July and going to eat at Benton Café with his brother and friend Rick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Dolly Frazier; brother, Denis Westerman; and best friend, Rick McMahan.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kasey and Glen Long of Bethel Acres, OK; son, Jeremy Westerman; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan Westerman, Kadence Westerman, Carson Long and Chase Long; brother, Danny Westerman of Shawnee, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Steve Van Antwerp of Shawnee, OK; Sister-in-law, Wanda Westerman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
