Judith Ann Stokes, 70, of Wanette, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Shawnee.
She was born October 17, 1950 to Stanley and Sophie (Hendricks) Staron in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
Judith grew up in Pennsylvania and has lived in Oklahoma since 1971.
She married Vernon Charles Stokes on May15, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Judith worked in management for Safeway and Homeland Groceries, retiring in the 1990’s.
She liked to keep to herself and enjoyed raising exotic birds for a short time and was a member of the Bird Club of Oklahoma. Judith enjoyed animals and caring for them. She was a good wife to Vernon and made sure they were taken care of.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Charles Stokes of the home; brother, Butch Staron of Florida; sister, Linda Trenna of Ohio; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Council Creek Cemetery in Tribbey, OK with Pastor Rob Bridgeford, Tribbey Community Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
