Virgil Tunnell, 55, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 in Tecumseh. He was born October 17, 1964 to Raymond and Bertha Tunnell in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Virgil was raised in Ardmore and attended Ardmore Public Schools. He moved to the Tecumseh area in the early 1980s where has since lived.
Virgil enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and listening to country music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Tunnell; and foster father, Hershall Clark; cousins, Matthew Weger and David Reed.
Survivors include son, Timothy Tunnell of Tecumseh, OK; former wife, Cynthia Beaver Tunnell of Tecumseh, OK; foster mother, Christine Clark of Tecumseh, OK; 6 sisters, Edna Webb of Shawnee, OK, Ruby Tunnell of Tecumseh, OK, Kathy Tunnell of Tecumseh, OK, Charlene Yeaden of Kansas, Betty Tunnell of New Mexico and Alma Minyard, of Ardmore, OK; 1 brother, Dale Tunnell of Ardmore, OK; former mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ronnie and Bernice Beaver of Tecumseh, OK; foster brother, Raymond Clark; foster sisters, Tina Tarver and Sherri Reed of Tecumseh, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Aaron and Lori Heffley and Rodney and Paula Beaver; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery with ญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญReverend Keith Ward, Taproot Church in Shawnee, OK officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
