Betty Wise, 91, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Monday, December 30, 2019 in Shawnee. She was born January 31, 1928 in Ava, Illinois to Basil and Agnes (Dagner) Morgan.
Betty moved to Eakley, Oklahoma around the age of 11. At age 17 she moved to Oklahoma City where she lived until settling in Tecumseh where she has resided for the past 20 years.
She worked as a waitress in Norman for many years and at the family catfish restaurant along with her children for several years.
Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved working puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and took pride in remembering her kids and grandkids birthdays.
She was preceded in death by her 2 sons, John Thomas Wise and Larry DeWayne Wise; 2 grandsons, James Terrel Wise and Albert Pacheco; and her parents, Basil and Agnes Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Jerry Wise, Charles Wise and Darryl Coats; 3 daughters, Sharon McLin, Murlene Miller and Denise Belt; 32 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wanda Morgan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2019 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
