Shirley Price Stansell

Shirley Stansell, 77, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home.

She was born July 20, 1945 to Andrew and Helen Price in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Shirley moved to Del City, Oklahoma in 1969 and went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where she met her future husband, Joe Ray Stansell. They were married on May 2, 1970 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. After marriage they moved to the Pink area in 1971 where they have lived since.

Shirley enjoyed reading, painting and doing ceramics. Volunteered for 20 years on the County Election Board and was a volunteer on the Pink Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ray Stansell on November 22, 2008; son, Brian Stansell; her parents, Andrew and Helen Price; sister, Vanell; and brothers, Jim Price and John Price.

Survivors include 1 son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Starla Stansell of Tecumseh, OK; 3 sisters, Joyce, Janie and Glenda; 1 brother, Doug Price; 3 special nieces, Donna Goodrich, Sheila Perkins and Patricia Marshall; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
