She was born October 13, 1930, to J. W. (Jim) and Lena Mae (McLaughlin) Stapp, in Isabella, Oklahoma. The family moved to Pink, Oklahoma in 1932 where she attended Pink School and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1948. After high school, Virginia lived for a time in Norman working for Woolworth’s and Gilt Edge Dairy before returning home to Pink and working at the Sylvania plant in Shawnee.

Virginia married Henry “Chip” Huff Jr., her childhood sweetheart, on November 25, 1953. Together they raised their family in Pink having three children, Patricia, Randy, and Curtis. After being a fulltime mom and as her children got older, she went to work for Smith’s Propane as a bookkeeper prior to retiring.

She was active in her church until a stroke limited her physically but continued to attend church and loved the Lord. She was member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed doing all things, especially RV vacations with relatives and friends, camping and fishing. In her later years she enjoyed going for breakfast at the Casinos with Chip. After Chip’s passing she enjoyed playing bingo and meals in the dining room with friends at the assisted living center. She shared a great love of watching Thunder basketball with her good friend, Lola.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Chip Huff, son, Randy Huff; daughter, Patricia Ann Huff; and her parents, Jim and Lena Stapp.

Those left to cherish her memory are son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Lauren Huff of Edmond, Oklahoma; 2 granddaughters, Kailen Huff and Kimberly Huff; many loving friends and extended family, including nephews and spouses, Billy and Ginger Huff, Robert and Karma Huff and Kent Huff.
