Henry “Chip” Huff, 91, of Pink, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Oklahoma City.
He was born March 2, 1930 to Henry Gilbert and Edna Mae (Hayes) Huff, Sr., in Paoli, Oklahoma.
Chip was raised in Pink, Oklahoma. At the age of 18 he joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country. He served with honor and distinction from 1948 until 1953 serving for 32 months as a POW in Korea until he was honorably discharged.
Chip married, Virginia Stapp, his childhood sweetheart on November 25, 1953. Together they raised their family in Pink.
He was a plumber and carpenter by trade, working mainly in the Norman area. Chip was also a rancher and worked nights hauling hay, working and raising cattle, and doing mechanic work. He enjoyed doing all things, especially RV vacations with relatives and friends, camping and fishing. In his later years enjoyed breakfast at the Casinos. He was a life member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Huff; daughter, Patricia Ann Huff; and his parents, Henry Gilbert and Edna Mae Huff, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Virginia (Stapp) Huff of the home; 1 son and 1 daughter-in-law, Curtis and Lauren Huff of Edmond, OK; 2 granddaughters, Kailen Huff and Kimberly Huff; many loving friends and extended family, including nephews and spouses, Billy and Ginger Huff, Robert and Karma Huff and Kent Huff.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sunny Stuart and Pastor Tom Gragg, First Baptist Church of Little Axe officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
