August 20, 1959 ~ August 13, 2022

Christopher "Chris" Lewis Hilditch, 62, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at his home.

Chris was born August 20, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jack and Wanda (Lewis) Hilditch. He was later raised by his great grandparents, Clyde and Mattie Lewis.

Chris attended Del City and Shawnee Public Schools.

Chris married the love of his life, Karen Cearley, on June 16, 1978 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. This year they celebrated their 44th anniversary.

Chris loved reading Sci-Fi and loved writing it. He wrote several short stories, and always had time to write notes and poems to his wife. Before passing, Chris was actively working on a novel by writing every night.

He owned and operated Computer Solutions with his wife Karen and owned Clean Fuel Solutions, where they converted cars from gasoline to compressed natural gas. Chris was a jack of all trades!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wanda Hilditch; sister, Cindy Lou Hilditch; and brother, Joseph Galvan.

Those he had to leave behind are his loving wife of 44 years, Karen Hilditch of the home; son and daughter-in-Love, Sandon and Melissa Hilditch of Liberal, KS; brother, Tim Stephens of Shawnee, OK; Brother-in-laws, Bobby Cearley of Shawnee, OK and Kevin Cearley and wife Belinda of Del City, OK and other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Collyer, Pink Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. Please join the celebration of Chris life through Cooper Funeral Home's Facebook page for live streaming of the service. Per family's request dress casual and if you have a sleeveless shirt wear it; as this was Chris's favorite dress attire.

This is one of many poems written by Chris.

Only Sunshine and rainbows only shed painted light
Lightning and thunderstorms only reveal nature's might
Moonlight and stars are only lucid at night
Diamonds and Gold only sparkle for sight

But Only your smile draws song from my soul
And having your love is my life's only goal
Then devoting my life is only fair toll
Because you're the only one that makes my life whole
