Loveler Grimes Williams

Loveler Grimes Williams, was born April 1, 1934 in Eatonton, GA to Lee Jordan Grimes and Julia Lewis Grimes. She passed from this life on Friday, January 20, 2023 in Shawnee, OK, having attained the age of 88 years, 9 months.

She moved from Georgia with her family to Brooksville, OK in 1951, at the age of 17. She united in holy matrimony with Isaiah Williams, and to this union 2 children were born: Sandra Kay (deceased) and Duncan Eric Williams.

She worked in housekeeping at OBU, Tecumseh Girls Town, retiring from COJAC.

After retiring she continued to work as a Home Health Aide. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching Discover Oklahoma on TV, going to the Casino and snacking.

Preceding her in death: Her parents, Lee J. and Julia Grimes; husband, Isaiah Williams; siblings: brothers, Lee, Samuel, Joseph, Theodore and Wingfield; sisters, Sarah, Equilla and Eva; daughter, Sandra Kay.

Left to cherish her memory: son, Duncan Eric Williams, Shawnee; brothers, Waymon Grimes, Dallas, TX, Marcus (Gloria) Grimes, Tecumseh, OK; sister, Mary Agnus Anthony, Norman, OK; grandchildren, Andrea Dominique, Eric Duncan and Quinton Kang; 7 great-grandchildren, Damien, Missie, Angelica, Kachina, Apollo, Laylynd, Lincoln, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at Brooksville Cemetery with Reverend Charles Carthen and Pastor Wingfield Grimes, Jr. officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
