David “Alan” Farris, 56, lifelong resident of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Oklahoma City.
He was born September 2, 1963 to David Leon and Twila Dorene (Wallace) Farris in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Alan was raised in Bethel Acres and graduated with the class of 1981 from Bethel High School.
He worked for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 627 for 38 years as a business agent.
Alan was a collector of all things. He loved to find deals at thrift stores and loved cars and trucks. Alan enjoyed his career, loved riding his motorcycles and loved his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Twila Farris; and his grandparents.
Survivors include 4 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, A.J. And Amber Farris of Bethel Acres, Christopher Ballow of Weleetka, OK, Roy Bruno of Shawnee, OK and Austin Bruno of Shawnee, OK; 1 daughter and 1 son-in-law, Magan and Peter Calvanese of Tecumseh, OK; 6 grandchildren, Mariah, Addyson, Waylon, Gracie, Lexi and Kohen; 1 brother, Mark and Donna Farris of Norman, OK; 1 sister, Marla Farris of Shawnee, OK; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church in Bethel Acres with Reverend Keith Ward, Taproot Church in Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
