Dolly Lou Honeycutt Hobbs

Dolly L. Honeycutt Hobbs, 61, of Shawnee died Friday at a local nursing home.

She was born March 24, 1941, in Shawnee to Clay and Mazie Archer Honeycutt.

She attended Shawnee schools and was a housewife.

She married Dewey Arthur Hobbs on September 22, 1959 in Shawnee.

He preceded her in death on May 31, 1976.

Mrs. Hobbs was a member of Bible Temple and was a lifelong Shawnee resident.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Spurlin of Earlsboro; two grandsons, Nicholas and Jessica Spurlin of Shawnee and Shane Spurlin of Earlsboro; one great-granddaughter, Veronica Spurlin; four sisters, Carol, Jennie, Ginger and Martha; three brothers, Leonard, David and Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Guy Cagle officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
