Private family services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the family home for John Quincy Thomas, 75, of Stonewall. Burial will be at the J. Thomas Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at an Ada hospital. He was born January 5, 1940 near Stonewall to Milburn and Bell Zora Allen Thomas. He attended Deb’s Corner School and the Sequoyah Indian School in Tahlequah. He also attended Murray State College in Tishomingo and East Central College in Ada.
He married Judy Elaine Brock July 7, 1967. Mr. Thomas was an aircraft machinist with Boeing Aircraft in McAlester until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Elaine Thomas, of the home; four sons, John M. Thomas, San Francisco, CA, Tom Thomas, Stonewall, Sammy Thomas and wife Steffanie, Ada and Quinton Thomas, Stonewall; a daughter, Rosa Thomas McBroom and husband Roger, Stillwater; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Willa Thomas, Stonewall and Betty Barnoski and husband Barney, Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by by his maternal grandparents, Charley Allen and Adeline Courtney Allen; paternal grandparents, Rev. Bob Thomas and Lizzie Monroe Thomas; his parents, Milburn Thomas and Bell Zora Thomas; and a sister, Leo Bell Thomas.
