Graveside services for Barbara Marlene “Sweetie” Thomas, 69, of Pryor will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Swan Hill Cemetery in Ada, Oklahoma, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Barbara Marlene “Sweetie” Thomas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. She was born on September 7, 1951, in Bakersfield, California, to Christian and Arlene Straub. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Mike and Marion Straub, sister, Elizabeth Straub, her son, Chad Hoover and step-son, Duane Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Thomas, Pryor OK; daughters, Shelly Howard, McAlester, OK and Monica Scalise, Frisco, TX; her brother, Christian “Jr” Straub, Ada, OK; sisters, Roberta Vargas, Paris, TX, Margaret Phillips, Perryville, AR, and Starlett Robledo, Long Beach, CA. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who all lovingly called her “Grammy”.
