In the early morning of June 21, Patricia Pearl (Pat or Patsy) Stone Streets left behind the cares of this world and entered into the gates of heaven. She passed away peacefully in her home at the end of 90 well-lived years. Pat was born October 11, 1929, to Robert Malone and Pearl Hester Garner in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She graduated from Berryhill High School, and then attended Oklahoma State University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha.
While attending OSU, she met her husband Cleamon H. Stone, an agricultural education student. They married on June 12, 1948. During their marriage they moved from O’Neill, Nebraska, to Broxton, Oklahoma, and finally to the Vanoss area.
Both became educators at Vanoss School with Pat teaching first grade and Clem vocational agriculture. Clem later became Superintendent. She taught for 23 years and retired in 1986.
She was a faithful Christian and attended Wilson Freewill Baptist Church for many years, but when the little country church closed she began to attend the First Freewill Baptist Church where her son serves as pastor.
After the death of her husband, she married William (Bill) Streets on January 27, 2001. They built a home on Lake Eufaula and lived there for several years, while also maintaining the family home in the Vanoss area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dr. Robert Garner, her infant daughter, Janell Stone, and her first husband Cleamon Stone.
She is survived by her husband Bill; her children and their spouses; Dan and Debbie Stone of Nowata, Susie and Wesley Edens, Dean and Lisa Stone, and David and Diana Cavaco all of Ada, Tony and Kerry Kaii of Denison, Chris and Leslie Streets and Sheryle and Gordon Ford of Oklahoma City, and Joe and Kayla Streets of Eufaula. She also leaves behind a sister and her husband, Dr. Linda and Harold Evans, of Perkins. She was also a loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Ada First Freewill Baptist Church with burial following at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Pall bearers include grandsons Mark Stone, Philip Stone, Darin Stone, J. J. Streets, James Conner, and Max Bevin.
