A funeral service for Frances June Scarberry, 83, of Ada, will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Criswell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Frances “June” Bennett Scarberry passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018. She was born on June 5, 1934, in Center, Okla., just west of Ada. She graduated from Vanoss Schools in 1950 at the age of 16.

June married Virgil Scarberry on Nov. 22, 1952. They were married for 58 years before his death in May 2011. They had three children: Susan, Robert and Kenneth.

June was preceded in death by her husband, retired USAF MSgt. Virgil Scarberry; parents Robert and Edith Henry Bennett; and grandson Christopher Hubbard. Survivors include her children: daughter Susan Shelton and husband Mark of Van Alstyne, Texas; son Robert Scarberry and wife Jannie of Houston, Texas; and son Kenneth Scarberry of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Cathryn Shelton and husband Marcus of Van Alstyne, Texas; Justin Alleson and wife Nicole of Sherman, Texas; Julia Alleson of Brady, Texas; Jennifer Hayes of Spring, Texas; USCG IT1 Joseph Hayes; Stacey Flowers and husband Stephen of League City, Texas; USCG IT2 Austin Scarberry and wife Tiffany; and Tyler Scarberry of Houston, Texas; and great-grandchildren: Danielle Jenkins, Emma Jenkins, Charlotte “Charlie” Shelton, Caden Shelton, Lane Shelton, Ayden Sanson, Serenity Alleson, Gage Love, Ember Love, Lillie Alleson, Brayden Espinosa, Baylee Espinosa, Olivia Moreno, Kennedy Flowers, Owen Flowers, Evelyn “Evie” Flowers, Jade Scarberry and Lillian “Lily” Scarberry.
