Services for William David “Dave” Roach, 75, of Kingston are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Linda Snelling will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery in Ada. The Navy Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Roach passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at a Durant hospital. He was born August 8, 1940 in Connerville to Willie Ruben and Edna Evelyn Muncrief Roach. He graduated from Pontotoc High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from East Central University in Ada.
He married Patsy Coy Smith September 13, 1974 in Oklahoma City. Mr. Roach was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone, retiring as an Area Manager. He was of the Baptist faith, was a volunteer fireman for the Texoma Fire District/Kingston and he was the business manager for the fire department. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and had served in the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy, of the home; a son, Darrell West and wife Robin, Dallas, TX; daughter, Darla Efflandt, Kingston; two grandchildren, Griffin West, Denton, TX and Faith Efflandt, Kingston; four sisters, Viola Boggs Webster, Talequah, Billie Kerns and husband Bob, Tulsa, Ruby Walker, Ada and Annie Ryan and husband John, Ada; a brother, Richard Roach and wife Sherry, Tuttle; sister-in-law, Sandra Roach, Tulsa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sandra Lou Roach; and a brother, J. L. Roach.
Bearers will be Darrell West, John Ryan, Griffin West, Matt Orrson, Shawn Ryan, Vernon Roach and Jason Walker.
