Services for Billy Lee McDonald, 77, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Scott Barnes and Dusty L. McDonald will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at his home. He was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Egypt, Okla. to Marcus Marvin and Quanah Irene Reed McDonald. He lived in this area all his life and attended Bebee elementary schools and Vanoss High School.

He married Patricia J. Preston on April 25, 1953 at Ada. Mr. McDonald served in the U. S. Army from December 1952 until November 1954. He served in the Korean War and earned several medals throughout his service including the Korean Service Medal with one bronze service star, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation. After being discharged from the military, he was employed with Evergreen Feed Mill and then Morelock's OK Furniture. Bill was a longtime business owner in Ada. In 1971, he opened Bill's Appliance Service and retired in the Spring of 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Pat) McDonald, of the home; son, Dusty L. McDonald, Walters, OK; daughter, Sandy J. McDonald Gore, Ada; son, Rusty O. McDonald, Atlanta, GA; a sister, Jean Storts, Ada; brother, Dennis McDonald, Ada; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Marvin McDonald and Quanah Irene McDonald, one sister, Barbara Ann Holloway, one granddaughter, Crystal Eve Morgan, and one great grandson, Brycen Zane Jones.

Bearers will be his grandson, Michael Parr, Chris Roberts, David McKnight, Gene Boudreau, Dale Tollett, Mike Gray, and Dewey McDonald.
