Services for John Beck Mauldin, 96, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
Mr. Mauldin died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at an assisted living center. He was born October 13, 1918 in Lavonia, GA to Labon O. and Lizzie Bell Dockins Mauldin. He moved to this area March 22, 1976 from Enid.
He married Retha Dale on July 11, 1951 in Oklahoma City. She preceded him in death on February 2, 1999. Mr. Mauldin served in the U. S. Air Force, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include a step-sister, Carolyn Haley, Royston, GA; his nephews and nieces, Hoyt Maudlin, Jr., Lavonia, GA, Gwen Carey, Batesburg, SC, Linda South, Lavonia, GA, Katheryn French, Clermont, GA, George Raymond Mauldin, Sumter, SC, Charles Nalley, Biloxi, MS, Betty Harper, Ware Shoals, SC, Suzanne Spears, Lavonia, GA and Phillip Haley, Carnesville, GA.
Bearers will be Bennie Cope, Tim Canfield, Wayne Roark, Bob Hester, Bill Adams and Joe Don Harrison Honorary bearers will be Don Butler and Stan Lasarsky.
