Services for Carl Edwin Low, 78, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Mayhue and Darrin Low officiating. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery with Chickasaw Honor Guard providing full military honors.

Mr. Low died Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home. He was born January 28, 1937 in Ada to Willis and Essie Black Low. He graduated from Ada High School in 1955.

He married Alice Ramer on February 10, 1962 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Low retired as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Services after 31 years and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 12, 1955 attending boot camp training at San Diego, California. He was in Navy aviation, stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in Trenton, New Jersey, serving for four years.

Survivors include his wife Alice of the home; two sons, Kevin Low and wife Tammy of Ada, Darrin Low and wife Tami of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three daughters, Alicia A. Wear and husband William of Ada, Dr. Beth Leader of Antlers, Oklahoma and Jan Bates and husband David of Ada; ten grandsons, Tyrell, Collin, Ethan, Zachary and Jordon Low, Chad Whittington, Skyler Leader, Tanner Wear, Brandon Kopaddy and Scott Bates; eigth granddaughters, Allyson Nightengale, Hope and Grace Wear, Rebecca Birchfield, Valerie Nix, Elizabeth Farmer, Jessica Glenn and Tracy Bryant; fifteen great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Michael Wayne Low and special friend, Gene Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willis Low, Jr.

Bearers will be Tyrell Low, Collin Low, Ethan Low, Zachary Low, Jordan Low and Michael Wayne Low. Honorary bearers will be Gene Thomas, James Lollar, Dwayne Yoesting, Robert Vick and Henry Young.
