Services for Roberta Marie “Jayne” Lott, 86, of Ada, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Crosspointe Church. Rev. Colton Lott will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Roberta Jayne passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Ada. She was born on January 30, 1939, in Dewey, Oklahoma, to Robert and Mary Swank West. She was the third of eleven children.

On December 27, 1955, Roberta Jayne married Jackie (“Jack”) Lott. They shared a passionate marriage, marked by highs and lows, but they continued to choose each other until his passing on January 15, 2003. Their union produced four sons with giant frames and even bigger personalities: Tommie Jay (“Tom”); Timothy Jack (“Tim”); Troy Alan; and Christopher David (“Chris”). Jack and Roberta lived all over northern Oklahoma before being relocated to Ada in 1975 by Sun Oil Company, where they have made their home since.

Roberta Jayne started working at age twelve in a local diner and valued hard work and self-improvement throughout her life. She earned her bachelor’s degree as a non-traditional student at East Central University. With her degree, she served women experiencing domestic violence before beginning a long career with Pre-Paid Legal, primarily working as a customer-service trainer. She was known for her dedication and mentorship to those under her tutelage.

Among her hobbies and interests were gardening roses (she grew thirty-nine varietals), propagating African violets, watching birds and squirrels, reading, and solving mysteries faster than TV detectives.

But most of all, she loved Jesus Christ and the good news he brings. Roberta Jayne was always in a church but never a denominational purist; she was best described as a “Bapti-costal.” She began teaching Sunday School at nineteen and had distinguished teaching stints at First Baptist Church, Ada, and Owl Creek Church near Stonewall.

Roberta Jayne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose life centered around her faith and family.

She is survived by three sons: Tim Lott and wife Jennifer, Troy Lott and wife Amy, and Chris Lott and wife Maelisa. She leaves behind eleven cherished grandchildren: Amanda, Trina, Kelsey, Chris, Colton, Ty, James, Chase, Kendle, Austin, and Andrew; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie; her parents; her son, Tommie J. Lott; and a great-grandson, Kashdyn Hunter.

Pallbearers will be Robert Kneisley, Rod Chastain, Ty Lott, Chase Lott, Joe Lee, and Chris Allen.

Roberta Jayne’s warmth, wisdom, stubbornness, strength, and unwavering love for her friends and family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
